WHEN DOES CHEVROLET PLAN TO BE ALL ELECTRIC?
|
As one of the leading car brands in the world, Chevy's continued to be a competing automaker that has influenced the decisions of other manufacturers in the industry. As a part of General Motors, it was recently announced that the company would move toward only producing all-electric vehicles. It hopes that it will only sell EV models by 2035. The company plans to invest approximately $35 billion into the transition, which will require changes to its plants. 20% of the process of manufacturing GM vehicles will need to be adjusted to ensure EV vehicles can be assembled. Although the sales of GM have declined in recent years, CEO Mary Barra has been able to shift the company's direction and help them remain more competitive.
