Corvette Racing will expand its racing commitment, beginning in 2022 with a full-season entry in the FIA World Endurance Championship's GTE-Pro class. The addition of the WEC to Chevrolet's global racing program is one of several enhancements taking place next season as part of the company's NAIAS launch of an all-new sports car."Chevrolet has a long and successful history in endurance racing, and we're thrilled to be expanding our program globally," said Jim Campbell, Chevrolet U.S. vice president of performance vehicles and motorsports. "The FIA World Endurance Championship provides an excellent competitive platform for the Corvette C8.R, and it's the perfect place to showcase the all-new Chevrolet sports car."
Chevy's world-class sports car returns for 2022 with a few updates. The limited-edition IMSA GTLM Championship Edition package adds special styling cues, including Corvette racing logos and a rear spoiler finished in Carbon Flash. You can choose between Accelerate Yellow with gray accents and Hypersonic Gray with yellow accents. A yellow and gray interior scheme makes this package even more exciting. There are also three new Corvette paint color options: Caffeine, Hypersonic Gray, Amplify Orange.
Matched with its competition, the Ford Mustang, and the Dodge Challenger, the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro is a rear-wheel drive sports car that packs a lot of features into its current model. This year will see some updates to the interior and exterior, though the concept will remain pretty much the same. Expect a few new color schemes inside and outside the Camaro for 2022. Chevrolet also opted to discontinue their 1LE Track Performance Package.
